Reference Letter

June 4, 2009

To Whom It May Concern:

I’m writing this letter of reference on behalf of Aaron Garner. I’ve known Aaron for about three years now and I must say what a pleasure it was to coach him. You will not find a better person as far as character, his ability to carry out what you need him to do on the court and most important how he interacts with his teammates.

I coached Aaron at Boise State University, he was one of my favorite players not only as a person but and player. He and I spent numerous hours talking about everything related to his game, life, and future after Boise State. Whatever tasks I asked of him on the court he carried it out to the best of his ability. He is a very good shooter and has a great feel for the game and will do anything you ask of him. His work ethic was very good as he was always looking to improve his game whether it was on the court or in the film room. Aaron was always looking to get better and get that extra edge you need to be successful at the Division I level.

The one thing I remember most about Aaron was when he first came to Boise he was a quiet person but when he got settled in he was a joy to be around not only to the coaching staff but the players as well. He showed a quiet leadership quality that the players admired and at times strived to be like.

If I had a daughter, I would have no problem with him dating or for that matter being my future son-in-law. I no longer coach at Boise State and have since moved on to coach women at Cornell University, we continue to stay in touch and I still give him advice about basketball and life. If for reason you need to contact me in regards to Aaron, don’t hesitate to. My cell phone is 928-607-1346 or you can reach me via email: jdc296@cornell.edu. I would be happy to endorse him to your team.

Sincerely,

Julious Coleman

Off the Court

Aaron continues to strive for excellence off the court with his many appearances at local elementary schools. He talks to the kids about staying in school, staying off drugs and alcohol as well as following your dreams. He has a younger brother who is 5 years old that wants to be "Aaron" when he grows up. He has a younger sister who is 14 years old and 2 step brothers who look at him as a role model and for guidance. His mother Judy has been his rock throughout his life. He has a very loving girlfriend and family who supports him wherever his road takes him.

He is a man of God and gives Jesus Christ all the glory in whatever he does. He has led many group Bible studies at Boise State University as part of Athletes In Action. He is an outstanding individual and would be a great addition to any pro-basketball club.
